Program Notes:

The ballet 'Revelation and Fall' revolves around the theme of transiency. About people who are born and die, things that appear and disappear. The cycle of coming and going that keeps on repeating. Tetley was inspired by the book 'The White Goddess' by American writer Robert Graves, in which related themes of transiency are being discussed. “The myth takes place in the withered landscape in which the god of the past year and the god of the new year fight for the love of the muse, and for their prey: a white dear which is impossible to catch." With this image as a source of inspiration, Tetley created four mythological figures: the muse, the white dear, the old, and the young god.
